Christmas Card Outakes

Halloween Preview

I never intended to ever buy my children a cheap-y Halloween costume, but here we are. He HAD to be a Transformer and I didn't want to spend 10 hours trying to make one. So cheap-y costume it is. He is THRILLED.

Long Weekend

Last weekend was beautiful and rainy and cool...Andrew did a lot of playing outside in-between showers.

Lily enjoyed herself, too!

And we couldn't resist a buy-one-get-one free sale at Build a Bear...

Andrew's bear is named Optimus Cookie Dough and Lily's is Strawbeary (they smell like scratch and sniff stickers - kinda gross).

More craft stuff

A Halloween wreath

A batcave for the boy - it is a cover I made to put over a card table

I am in love with this bag - it is a camera bag on with lots of padding and compartments on the inside, but I don't feel like I can buy another expensive bag until I am done with the diaper bag (it'll be a while)...

So, I found this bag at Target for $25...

...and made my own padded insert. Its not quite the same, but it'll work for a while.

And Andrew

School

We had our first parent/teacher conferences last week - here is his feed back. Next quarter he gets a report card. What could they grade them on in Pre-K?

He has learned the Pledge - and there is a Texas part, too. Who knew?

How long has it been?

She's going to love me for this one someday.

Crafty Post

Here are some projects I've done lately (no kid pics - don't miss the two new posts after this one)...

This is the project for the spouse social I am hosting in a couple weeks! Cheap and easy!

First day of Pre-K

So, my boy started school...

He's playing pirate (he pretends that box is his ship, don't ask questions just nod and follow along).

Andrew's teacher, Mrs. Swint, asked that everyone bring their favorite bear to school to keep them company on their first day.

This is the elementary school counselor. Apparently, he's pretty cool.

That little girl is named Lilly, too. She picked out special rocks and brought them to school for Andrew. Huh.

This sweet little wave breaks my heart everyday. He makes me stand where I can see him walk all the way inside and turns around and waves every 10 seconds and says, "Bye, Mommy" and "I love you, Mommy." All at once the best and worst part of my day. I think preschool may be overrated.

I suck at this...

Since you last heard from us...

Lily discovered her tongue (could have something to do with her 4 teeth)...

I got a Transformer (Optimus Prime, to be exact). He's pretty awesome...

Lily likes to chew (that is if she isn't sticking her tongue out)...

Daddy and Lily love each other (not a new development, but still)...

My boy got glasses...

Lily got big blue eyes (again not a new development but I am running out of things to say)...

I have the cutest little superman EVER...

And my babies are so precious I can hardly stand it!!!!
